Rondol at Dow’s Solubility Symposium in Zurich
03 May 2016The Rondol team was really glad to attend the Dow Solubility Symposium 2016 in Zurich on April 27th (http://www.pharma-excipients.ch/2016/04/01/solubility-symposium/) .
The number and level of participants clearly highlighted the growing interest
of the pharma industry in the Hot Melt Extrusion (HME) technology.
It was a great opportunity for all industry actors to listen, meet and exchange about further developments of polymer solutions for the pharma industry facing solubility challenges.
Prof. Victoire de Margerie, Rondol President
states: “We are convinced that our new vertical micro extruder is the best
machine for processing the full range of Dow’s AFFINISOL™ polymers. On top of
the usual advantages of all existing micro extruders, it offers specific
advantages for Pharma applications thanks to its smaller footprint (0,5m²
vs 2,5m² for an horizontal one), its efficient temperature control (cooling on
all 8 barrel zones), easy scalability and a very user friendly monitoring
software.
And Dr. Michael Baumann,
Pharma Field Marketing Manager EMEA for Dow Pharma & Food Solutions states:
"it is crucial that machine and polymer
producers collaborate in order to offer the most competitive and high quality
solutions to our pharma customers. We will be happy to include Rondol as
one of our value chain partners, and develop the best extrusion settings for
processing AFFINISOL™ based compounds."
